We had a great few days in Scotland doing some Winter fun on Ben Nevis in the days when Scottish winters were cold and icy. (Actually about 5 or 6 years ago...)
In June 1997 I went to California to see my climbing buddy Mike. Among the usual touristy things, I managed a walk up Mission Peak the day I got there, a trip to Mount Shasta, and a trip to White Mountain.
December 2000 I went to Snowdonia in North Wales to do some more winter walking/climbing. We had a good fall of snow the night we arrived. We slept out in the tent in temperatures about -10 Celcius.
My newest toy is a full suspension mountain bike. (Funny how even the radio pages involve the mountains too, some sort of trend
here I think...)
